Radwanska, Dushevina advance at busy Nordic Light Open

08/04/2007 - Stockholm, Sweden (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland and eighth-seeded Russian Vera Dushevina each advanced to the final at the Nordic Light Open.

Radwanska needed to win a pair of matches after rain halted quarterfinal play on Friday. She ousted Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki, 6-4, 6-1, to start the day, then defeated Tsvetana Pironkova, 6-4, 6-3, in the semifinal round.

Pironkova downed France's Stephanie Cohen-Aloro in the quarterfinals, 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-5), 6-1.

Dushevina was the lone quarterfinal winner on Friday and only needed to down German Julia Goerges, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, on Saturday.

Goerges advanced to the semifinals after third-seeded Frenchwoman Emilie Loit had to retire two games into the first set because of a knee injury. Goerges was leading 2-0 at the time.

Radwanska won the lone meeting against Dushevina in straight sets on the hardcourts at Linz in 2006. Both will be vying for their first career title.
